This is the part of a new series I am working on called "Women of the Americas"  It is a series of women  of the Americas shown in their native clothing.  In easch painting are designs/symbols from that culture. Support, in part, for this series is from a grant I recieved from the Illinois Northwest Art Alliance.  So far I have completed a total of 7 oil paintings and I am working on the 8th.  This is for a one person show at Spring Street Gallery in Galena IL this fall.  Please keep checking my web site for more information and to view the new paintings.
